This is one quality girl! She has the conformation, fleece stats, pedigree, show record, and awesome birthing history to back up that claim. An absolutely stellar girl.
Goldkist is a typey, well-conformed female exhibiting all the traits to be expected from her Peruvian/Accoyo heritage. Her fleece is a lovely honey gold color, and she sports fineness, excellent staple length and crimp throughout. At four years pregnant and lactating like a Guernsey, she still maintained a histogram of 22.6/ 5.0/ 21.9/ curve 40.3, with a staple length that put youngsters to shame.
She is sweet tempered with solid, balanced conformation and good size of bone. She has a wonderful upright presence, a beautiful classic head framed by her perfect spear-shaped ears and dark expressive eyes. She has had three perfect pregnancies, births easily, and produces tons of milk.
Her sire, Peruvian Rafael is a son of PPPeruvian Yupanqui, and DDF Bobbie Ann, a Hemingway daughter, who is gaining the well earned reputation of a high impact in the NW.
Goldkist's show record was excellent, and she topped off her career with a 1st and Color Champion at AlpacaMania 2004, and 1st at the Level V AWE in 2005. She continues to earn high awards with her baby fine fleece in spin-offs - continuing testimony to her lovely fleece.
Her fall 2008 male cria by Victor Julius is stunning and her best fleeced cria yet, but now has some heavy competition from her fall 2009 male cria, High Flying Hershey, from Emerald Farm's Javelin Cloud. He's got crimp to die for, and so dense it's almost impossible to get down to skin! Show Me The Money, Royal Fawn, Yupanqui, Hemingway and Don Julio are some of the greats in this 2009 cria pedigree. Her fall 2010 male cria is a gorgeous boy, FARL's Midas Touch. They don't get much better than this!
